The volunteer setup crew
The Wall was opened twenty four hours a day during its visit and there were volunteers, in their blue vests with reflective strips, on duty around the clock to assist guests and provided information. They experienced some serious cold overnight evidenced by the wall being covered in deep frost every night by midnight, but they were there if you needed them.
The intent of this documentation is to be in Pinetop – Lakeside when we had the good fortune to host The Wall. Only one other town in Arizona did this year. There are things missing such as the arrival and formal escort of the wall transport, and a formal photo of the entire volunteer staff and breakdown crew. That last photo taken by another will be posted when that other returns to town. I'm searching for a staff photo, but I don't think we had them all together at one time. I'll keep looking.
