Below is the flyer for my photo talk that I have given twice in 23 and is scheduled for Saturday June 22nd this year.
Small turn out. But a great audience. They were all really into photography and had some great questions.
It's always a lot of fun talking about photography.

You can have your very own copy of my PHOTO TALK HANDOUT, or read it on your phone

About the hand out, there are one to three slides in the presentation for every paragraph to show a lot of examples. I've always been disappointed by presentations where the slides are text, and the presenter reads them to you. I tried to do the opposite. Most of the useful tips in the handout make sense without the photos. Every topic covered has a lot of information about it on the internet. I recommend looking up Aperture, Shutter Speed and ISO especially because there are so many diagrams and examples that will make them easier to understand. Same goes for the "Golden Hours" and the "Blue Hours".

Having retired from commercial photography and photo restoration, I am starting to experiment, explore, "think". I'll be spending a lot of time looking at photos, taking photos, and talking about photography every chance it get. Call me if you want to talk photography; your pictures or mine. Best times are before 9 AM, and after 6 PM. If I can't talk at that moment, we'll make a plan.

Spring IS here. It's so varied as to be erratic. Rain, snow, sunny days with a light breeze, then snow, then rain, then roaring wind. The coming Monsoon season may be more interesting than I would like. My favorite warm place when it's cool.

G. K. Chesterton and me... Although I don't agree with G. K. on many things, he nailed this one.
"I do not think there is anyone who takes quite such fierce pleasure in things being
themselves as I do.
The startling wetness of water excites and intoxicates me: the fieriness of fire,
the steeliness of steel, the unutterable muddiness of mud."
