Preparing your photograph
Before you send your photo.
Take a close look at your photograph and decide what is the most important thing about the picture that you want worked on. Restoration and repair may be obvious, but in the case of alteration, it's important that you examine your photograph carefully and describe the changes you want.
Sending Photos
Digital Photos
Please send either a jpeg or tiff file at the size it was originally shot at. Usually this just requires attaching it to an email to send. I can receive files as large as 10 Megabytes. If the file is larger than that, you can send it to me on a CD-ROM or send it by ftp, if you are familiar with that process. If you need assistance with accomplishing any of the above call me at 928-242-9212
Printed Photos
Send your photograph/s by any mail system (US Post, FedEx, UPS), and insure it/them for the maximum that you are comfortable with. Make sure to use very sturdy and protective packing. Paper, tintype or glass photo/s I receive will be scanned at a very high resolution and that image will be used to create the restoration. I will keep the original/s until completion of the work for reference.
When I have received your photo/s
I will confirm it by email, and will call to speak with you directly to discuss exactly what you want done to the picture. Before I call I will have carefully examined the photo or the digital file, and will be able to give you detailed information on the condition of the photograph, what can be done to it, how much it will cost, and my recommendations for the work.
After we have agreed on the work to be accomplished and the price, I will send you an email confirmation for you to return after which I will begin the work.
When the work is completed
At the completion of the assignment, I will send you a low resolution example of the completed work. If it meets your requirements, you can then send me a check or money order for the cost of the restoration. When the check has cleared I will immediately send your completed work.
I will then send you either an email digital version of your photo/s, or a
CD-ROM//DVD.
Either way, there will be a high resolution file of each of your photo's and a low resolution version, ready for emailing, placing on a website or making a small print.
Physical files will be returned with the CD and insured for the original amount when sent. Jobs are sent U. S. Mail for no charge. If you require a different or faster carrier, make arrangements to pay for that with the initial order.
